注意!嗆到「千萬別拍背」專家警告:拍了更容易窒息 正確方式曝光

進食時嗆到或噎住,許多人的第一反應是拍打背部或喝水,但日本齒科衛生士協會的篠原弓月卻發聲提醒,這其實是一種錯誤做法,因為拍背或喝水反而有可能會讓卡住的東西更難被排出,反而會增加窒息的風險,因此正確方法其實是應該鼓勵被噎住者用力咳嗽,以排出異物。

根據日媒《信濃每日新聞》報導,專家篠原弓月解釋,嗆到或噎住的原因,主要是食物、飲料或唾液誤入呼吸道,於是人體的防禦機制就自然地引發強烈咳嗽,藉此排出異物。雖然拍打背部在嗆到或噎到時是常見的自然反應,但這實際上可能會干擾咳嗽所產生的氣流,使得氣管中的異物更難排出,甚至可能導致原本即將咳出的異物再次滑入氣管深處,從而增加了窒息的風險;至於喝水這個動作則有可能進一步刺激喉嚨,擾亂呼吸,造成誤嚥的風險,因此她不鼓勵人們拍打噎住者的背部,或讓其喝水緩解症狀。

篠原弓月建議,當有人嗆到或噎住時,應鼓勵他們用力咳嗽,並「從下往上輕揉其背部,而不是拍打」。此外,如果噎住者擔心咳嗽時會噴出東西,可以用衛生紙或毛巾輕蓋住嘴巴,讓他們安心咳嗽。篠原直言,這一觀念其實已經被專家們提出了15年左右,無奈相關知識還沒有被普及到大眾之間。她希望透過這次的分享,能讓更多人了解到正確的處理方式,降低嗆到或噎住時的窒息風險。

另外,篠原弓月提醒大眾,用餐時細嚼慢嚥、保持正確姿勢,都是預防噎食的有效方法。此外,養成良好的口腔衛生習慣也非常重要,比如經常透過說話、朗讀或唱歌來訓練聲帶,以及定期進行牙齒檢查,以保持口腔衛生和功能。
