久坐恐增失智風險! 英國研究:連坐4小時等同大腦老化2至4年

現代上班族因長時間久坐辦公,導致身材走樣、健康出問題,還可能越坐越笨。英國醫學研究顯示,久坐與認知功能下降存在直接關聯,影響思考和記憶外,還會增加失智風險;另一項研究更指出,久坐達4小時的受試者,因大腦血流速度下降,後果可能等同大腦退化2至4年。

胸腔暨重症專科醫師黃軒5日在臉書分享久坐如何影響大腦功能,進而引發健康問題。黃軒指出,一項針對中年人的研究發現,久坐時間越長,大腦內側顳葉(MTL,掌管記憶)體積越小,這會導致記憶力下降、專注度變差,增加失智風險,加速認知功能退化。

久坐會使血液循環減緩,腦部供氧不足下,思考與記憶連帶受影響;此外長時間缺乏活動,可能減少大腦負責學習記憶的神經活性,進而影響腦部整體功能。

另一項英國研究找來15位受試者,分成「久坐連續4小時」「每坐半小時起身走動2分鐘」「每坐2小時起身走動8分鐘」3組對照。結果顯示,久坐4小時未起身的受試者,大腦血液流速明顯下降,可能相當於大腦老化2至4年;反觀坐半小時起身走動的一組受試者,影響幾乎完全逆轉。

因此黃軒建議大家,養成定時起身活動的習慣,每隔半小時就起身走動2分鐘,活絡大腦血流,或藉由倒茶喝水、講電話、討論公事、飯後午休等時機起身活動,甚至站立辦公,來提升工作效率,擺脫「久坐腦呆」。
